Bookings: I recommend booking your newborn photography in Toronto while you are still pregnant. It is possible to book maternity and newborn photo sessions together and as an added bonus, we are going to offer a 10% discount on newborn photography. I will reserve an approximate date and time around your due date since this is very difficult to predict when the baby will be born. Once the baby is born, we will decide the final time and date. To ensure that the quality of my service remains at the highest level, I only accept a limited number of sessions per month. In other words, it is never too early to think about booking a newborn picture session with a professional photographer. In the event that you have just discovered newborn photography, let me know as soon as possible and I would be happy to accommodate you; however, existing bookings are always given priority.
The best time to photograph newborns is within the first 14 days of their life (ideally from the age of five to ten days old). It is much more difficult to pose and keep them still after they are two weeks old because they become less sleepy.
Please do not feel bad if you missed the first 14 days by a few days; I have photographed babies of all ages and I am capable of adjusting to their needs. You will still get beautiful pictures of your baby.
Photo Session: Our photo session will last about three to four hours, at your home in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area. This is a very special experience for both of us, and I want you to enjoy it as much as I do, so we will have lots of time to settle the baby, feed, and change. Having a bottle of either formula or breast milk for the baby is a good idea.
There is nothing more important to me than safety. The first thing I do is make sure the baby is safe and comfortable at all times. It is my pleasure to provide the backdrops and props for your photoshoot, but if you would like to include anything special in the photo shoot, you are more than welcome to do so!
Approximately two days after the session, I will send you proofs of the images so that you can select your favorites. Once you send me the numbers of the images you wish to keep, they will be ready for you to download, keep, print, and share within 7-10 business days!
In-Home Newborn Photo Session in Toronto
There are many areas in the GTA where I do in-home newborn photography, including Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, Richmond Hill, North York, Vaughan, Ajax, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Newmarket, and Markham. Doing a newborn photo session at your home does not mean that you have to compromise on anything. As part of the package, I will be bringing props, backgrounds, wraps, outfits for the baby, lighting, and background for family photos.
